Day 26 — Spiritual Warfare I: Those Who Have Heard—Discipled
Acts 19:8-10
I. Paul teaching in Ephesus
A. Spoke boldly in the synagogue for 3 months
B. Reasoning and persuading them about the kingdom of God.
C. Some became hardened and disobedient.
D. Opposition mounted, speaking evil of The Way to the people.
E. Paul withdraws from the synagogue
1. Takes disciples with him
2. Reasoned and trained them in the school of Tyrannus for 2 years
3. Result: all in Asia Minor west coast heard the Word, Jews and Greeks.
Questions:
1. What was the causes of the opposition in the synagogues?
2. Paul had invested 3 months in the synagogues and then withdrew with disciples for 2 years.
Was this an effective plan? Why/why not?
3. The Holy Spirit is not mentioned here. How was He working?
