Day 25 — Paul Lays Hands on Ephesian Believers Who Receive Holy Spirit
Acts 19:1-7
1. Paul found disciples in Ephesus
2. He asks them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?”
3. They hadn’t heard of the Holy Spirit.
4. Paul asks, “Into what then were you baptized?”
5. They answer into John’s baptism.
a. Paul explains that John’s was for repentance and telling of the one coming
b. Jesus is the one who came.
6. When they heard this they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
7. Paul then laid hands on them and the Holy Spirit came on them.
a. They began speaking with tongues
b. They began prophesying
c. There were 12

1. If you have a believing friend, what are your goals in praying for them?
2. If they are not a follower of Christ, what are your goals in praying for them?
3. Do you know when you first experienced the Holy Spirit filling you?
4. Is that an important question? Why/why not?
