1. If the message from the Jerusalem counsel was that Gentiles did not have to be circumcised, why did
Paul circumcise Timothy?
Is this not contrary to the grace given?
Explain the difference between freedom and consideration here.
2. If you were Timothy, would you want this, knowing you are carrying a letter saying it wasn’t needed?
What does this say about Timothy’s commitment to the Lord?
3. How often do you feel that the Lord is stopping you from doing a very good work?
How do you resolve that internally?
How do you recognize that it is the Holy Spirit stopping you?
