III. Maker of Artemis silver shrines stirs up riot.

A. Demetrius made lots of money from his craft.

B. Gathers other idol makers and points out how Paul is wrecking business

1. Paul says gods made by human hands aren’t gods.

2. The temple of Artemis may be considered worthless

C. They are enraged shouting, “Great is Artimis of the Ephesians!”

1. City filled with confusion

2. Rushed in one accord to the theater.

3. Grabbed 2 of Paul’s traveling companions from Macedonia

4. Disciples stopped Paul from getting into the fray

5. Alexander started to make a defense

6. Crowd thought he was Jewish and resumed chanting “Great is Artimis…!”

7. Town clerk quiets them down.

a. We all know Ephesus is guardian of Artimis from heaven

b. You brought these men who are not robbers

c. We have courts, use them so we don’t get in trouble with government.

d. Dismisses the assembley.
