How to use this study
The purpose is to know the Holy Spirit who is Christ’s presence, our Helper and so much more in the life of the believer.
- Ask the Holy Spirit to lead you in your reading to understand the Word of God clearly
- Read the Scripture attached to the title of the day’s reading
- Review pertinent notes and take your own on your observations. The author’s notes are His understanding of what was said.
- Ponder and answer the questions. List your own questions from your reading.
- Doing this without seeking the Holy Spirit’s guidance will make this just head knowledge and pointless.
Why study the Holy Spirit?
- Jesus thought He was important enough that He said it was better for Him to leave so we could have the Holy Spirit
- There are many ideas of who the Holy Spirit is and how we interact with Him. Many are man’s concoctions.
- Learn what the Bible teaches without the filter of denominational dogma, developing your understanding with the leading of the Holy Spirit
The heart behind why this study exists
My hope is that the learner will examine the whole counsel of God on this most important part of our spiritual growth and allowing us to experience the personal relationship with God as He directs the learner into deeper, more accurate understanding of why Jesus said, “it is good for you that I go away[to the Father].”
My intent is to avoid my opinions and let the learner listen to the Holy Spirit speaking through the Scriptures.
